The book "Victore or , who died and made you boss"is  a "must have" for every designer. It has a witty and funny approach to postmodern design. I enjoyed the presentation and meeting Victore. Carlos Llerena Aguirre, who like Victore taught at the School of Visual Arts was the official i-phone photographer. Thanks!

what about the Topo Gigio?

Topo Gigio From Wikipedia,

Topo Gigio was the lead character of a children's puppet show on Italian and spanish television show, in the early 1960s. The character, created by artist Maria Perego, debuted on Italian television in 1959 and has been customarily voiced by actor Giuseppe (Peppino) Mazzullo. The Italian nickname "Gigi" is a diminutive of Luigi ("Louis"),[1] so "Topo Gigio" could be translated as "Louie Mouse". Topo Gigio, a soft foam mouse with dreamy eyes and childish personality, was very popular in Italy for many years — not only on TV but also in children's magazines, such as the classical Corriere dei Piccoli, animated cartoons, movies, and merchandising. Its popularity spread to the world after being featured on Ed Sullivan's weekly TV show in the U.S. Today Topo Gigio still has a cohort of faithful fans, and has become an icon of Italian and spanish pop culture. He performs regularly at Zecchino d'Oro festival and other programs created by Antoniano and RAI. In 1965, a feature length motion picture Le Avventure di topo Gigio (The Adventures of Topo Gigio) was released internationally.
The endearing puppet has made appearances and has a fan base in many other countries — including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela and former Yugoslavia,Vermont.

Mr. Potato head- did you have one when you were a child?

Mr Potato Head is an American toy consisting of a plastic model of a potato which can be decorated with a variety of attachable plastic parts such as ears and eyes to make a face. The toy was invented and developed by George Lerner in 1949, and first manufactured and distributed by Hasbro in 1952.[1] It was originally produced as separate plastic parts to be stuck into a real potato or other vegetable. A plastic potato body has been part of the kit since 1964.
Mr Potato Head was the first toy advertised on television[2][3] and has remained in production since its debut. Over the years, the original toy was joined by Mrs. Potato Head and supplemented with accessories such as a car and a boat trailer. The character has appeared in film and on television, and has acted as spokesperson for several causes. Similar toys such as Pontiki may have taken their inspiration from the Hasbro toy.

Anthropologie- What inspires you?

This is the "what inspires you?" ad campaign I created for Anthropologie. I believe the items sold at Anthropologie are deeply inspired by different things throughout the world. Each item seems to be based off of various inspirations.

Anthropologie- What inspires you?

I feel like the clothing and other items at anthropologie are inspired by things within the world around us. This short commercial compiles several different items that may have been inspired by nature, boating, and shapes.

My Snoopy & Amani

Their names are Snoopy and Amani, the two fuzzy creatures in my life. From the first glimpse of sunlight to the last blink at night, they're always ever so present to cheer up my day. It doesn't matter if I've been gone 5 minutes or 5 days. As soon as the door keys jingle, their ears perk up, their tails wake up, and they can't wait to give me a joyous fest at the doorway. They know when I hurt and offer their plushness for me to hug, or their kisses to wipe my tears. They keep me company at night and give me peace of mind. They elicit a smile from my face just because they are so curiously amazing. It's during these moments that I realize how thankful I am to have these two treasures in my life.

Sustainability and Consumerism

Google Logo by Allison Brown

After being given the option to make any logo into a pun, I decided immediately to use google and choose oogle. After watching a movie recently, one of the characters made the joke that google was only used for porn. I thought it would be funny to turn it into to oogle to make this point.

theirspace.com

I redesigned the myspace logo so the three icons that represent people have on binoculars as if they are looking into someone else's life. I feel that many social networks have become gateways for people to stalk people and learn about others lives without even having to try. It is no longer "my space" it becomes someone else's space, therefore "their space".
