UM Design Students visit Dodd Communications

Thanks to the Staff at Dodd Communications for a hands-on learning experience. The mini-printing seminar was conducted by Lilli Rivera.
We discussed print production; how to prepare the files, how to create a printing request form, different techniques and tips for a successful printing job from beginning to end. We visited the tech department where the files are checked; the proofing dpt. where the iris and other proofs are produced (depending on the client); the presses where the job is printed!; the cutting and binding departments; and the shipping and fulfillment.
